Can I order spare parts for my ophthalmic frame or sunglass?
Yes, subject to availability. Please email us with the brand, model number and style code and the part(s) you require. We will advise you on a price before ordering.

How do I read the information on an eyepiece?
A typical ophthalmic frame normally comes with the following identification marks which can be interpreted as follows:

Model Number / Name: PR 07LV
Style / Colour Code: 7WV1O1
Lens Size: 50 or 52
Bridge Size: 15
Temple Length: 135

Please be aware that some fashion sunglasses do not have identification marks for the lens size, bridge size or temple length.

What is the difference between model numbers and style codes?
A Model number is the unique identifier by a brand for that product. Style Codes are normally different variations (frame colour, lens colour) of a model number. Therefore, a model number can have several style codes but not the other way around.

How long does it normally take for an item to ship?
Our shipping times are quoted for on each page for every product.

I know what I am looking for, what is the quickest way to find it?
The quickest way is to use our advanced search facility where you will be able to refine your search criteria

Ordering Prescription Glasses

How do I obtain my ophthalmic prescription?
We suggest that you visit your local opticians offering a sight test service with a qualified optometrist. The optician must by law provide you with a copy of your presciption to take away. Please remember that an ophthalmic sight test prescription is different to a contact lens prescription. Your employer may contribute towards the fee of an eyetest if you regularly use a computer screen at work.

Where do I input my ophthalmic prescription details?
We are not currently able to take prescriptive orders online. However, we will provide prescription services on request for single vision lenses only.

We will require a valid copy of your prescription (normally within the last 2 years) which should have the pupillary distance (PD).

Please fax it to us on 0845 680 0675 including your daytime telephone number and we will be able to quote you a price.

Do you offer a reglazing service?
We do not offer a reglazing service.

Is my contact lens prescription suitable for ordering prescription glasses?
No, your contact lens prescription is for purchasing contact lenses only. We would need a copy of your ophthalmic prescription.

Ordering Sunglasses

Can I order sunglasses to prescription?
It is not always possible or cost effective to remove the lenses from many designer sunglasses and replace them with a prescriptive lens of the same tint. However certain manufacturers such as Oakley and Bolle can be supplied to prescription for a selection of their products. These items are special order and are excluded from our return policy. Please call us to discuss these options.

Ordering Contact Lenses

Do I need a contact lens prescription to order contact lenses?
Yes, all orders that are shipped within the UK require a valid contact lens prescription (within the last year) before it can be processed.

I want to order crazy lenses but I not a contact lens wearer. Do I still need a valid contact lens prescription?
Yes you will. Your optician will still need to fit you with these lenses even though you may not require a prescriptive correction. It is also important that you learn how to insert and remove the contact lens from your eye to avoid scratching the cornea.
